'Scam victims' wait on court dates

| ALLEGED victims caught up in the ‘fake’ villa plot in Didim are still awaiting court cases in Ireland and Turkey to get underway, it has emerged. |
The victims are awaiting criminal proceedings to begin in Bodrum against Irishman Kevin O’Kane and his Turkish business partner Kubilay Atmaca who have been accused of selling properties at the Golden Beach Villa complex, near Altinkum, when they were not allowed to do so.
There are claims that as many as 80 victims were duped in the alleged scam at a cost of about £10m.
Meanwhile, the victims are awaiting civil proceedings in the Northern Ireland courts as they seek to recoup their money after launching claims against Kevin O`Kane and his business empire.
The victims are set to go to court in Belfast on November 28 when a formal date for the hearing is expected to be set.
In Turkey, O'Kane will remain in Bodrum, after Turkish prosecutors informed victims of the alleged fraud last week the case will come before the courts in January.
Co Armagh man Lloyd Crawford - whose relatives and friends lost £500,000 between them in the alleged fraud - said he was preparing to visit Turkey at the beginning of 2008. He is expected to be joined by at least 20 other local families, including former World Boxing Champion Eamonn Loughran.
Said Mr Crawford: "We expect to be called to testify in late December, with the trial probably starting in January. It's now down to the prosecutor and how many people he wants to give evidence about this nightmare."
However, O`Kane said he was "unaware" of any court hearings. He has been banned from leaving Turkey while a high-level police probe into the failed development continues.

We all know the truth just like we know that Kevin took our money, told us he was the builder & developer, told us there was a rental agreement & gave us fake deeds.
THERE IS NO GETTING AWAY FROM THE TRUTH.
Please I ask the Turkish authorities get him back to Turkey, get justice for the victims & put an end to this nightmare that we have all been living with for too long.

We watch as he feigns ill health, yet is able to hold boozy parties and celebrations in Turkey and Portglenone. It was predicted he would feign ill health, it was predicted he would do a runner. Will he now try to escape court by feigning stress? |

Has anyone any ideas what is going to happen in turkey does this give kubilkay the ability to get off the hook please post any turkish news.
If the lady who tackled him on her own last week is true looks like he is up and running on our money and well protected by his friends !!!!! |

The only thing that will happen now is silent or threatening phone calls to some of the victims. We will get to watch him stuffing his fat face in restaurants & partying with all his cronies.
As for the "lady" who confronted Atmaca I cant understand why she didnt confront O'Kane too. Did Kevin not tell her he was the builder/landowner? Did Kevin not take cash from her? Kubilay didnt sell me the villa. The fat fraudster told me that Kubilay worked for him.

Sorry I did notmake myself clear O Kane is guilty guilty of all of these things . I am concerned that both parties are prosecuted and that O kane will now be dealt with here no doubts kubilay still remains back in business with alot of our money and I know in early days he was protrayed as a driver etc but he was very much on a equal footing formost of the last 18 months with the help of his dear wife
how do we keep up to speedwith what is happening there. I have money with a solicitor but no real feedback expect that they are issuing a warrant for O kane via PSNI |

I am in the same boat as you & I am merely curious as to why the "lady" who gave an interview to the Sunday Life didnt also tackle O'Kane? I believe Kubilay has played a part in this but O'Kane is the main man no doubt.
I cannot understand why the PSNI have not arrested him. I for one will be contacting the PSNI to ask this question every day if required. He is after all on the run never mind the fraud he has commited.
Kevin O'Kane has a sin to answer for I have met some of the most decent people that are also caught up in this nightmare. To think that this tramp O'Kane came into all our houses, told us nothing but lies & then took our money makes me sick. |

I believe mr. Kubilay the tramp from the streets has my money and you me and all the good people of northern ireland should do all we can to ensure he is held accountable. We are all cross with O kane because he came into our houses and sold us paridise which was not his to sell. A paradise i wanted to share with all my family to enhance their lives but it was all taken away.
Kubilay is a multi millionaire who is laughing at us and will pay his way through the legal system ( our money) to ensure that he is ok.
I dont feel ok I have lost so much money not even in the purchase but all the other costs.
Kevin O Kane needs to realise that we all work very hard to make a few pounds and he needs to say SORRY I sinned against the people of northern ireland instead now an escapee from a place that his partner now walks free.
Kevin blame yourself no one else you took the money but make sure whatever you have sent to turkey makes its way back to us and that is the first step tp trying to rectify this scam |

It is good to hear that other people in Turkey are as keen as I am to see Kubilay Atmaca brought to justice and repay the money. Whatever information you have, please give it as soon as possible to the police in Bodrum or if you don`t want to go directly to the police go to a solicitor. The more evidence the better.
With regards to swatragh`s comments, you seem to conveniently forget that O`Kane is central to this scam as well. He said on numerous occasions that he owned the land, that he was the builder and that he was the rightful seller. He told dozens and dozens of people this and indeed marketed himself as such at Property Shows all over Ireland. He took money from people in Ireland himself. He lied on an enormous scale.
O`KANE DIDN`T OWN THE LAND.
O`KANE WASN`T THE BUILDER.
O`KANE WASN`T THE RIGHTFUL SELLER. HE LIED AND LIED AND LIED AGAIN.
If you were really so keen to get your money from Kubilay it is strange that you don`t go to the police or a solicitor in Turkey to do so.

What really counts is that the police and solicitors in Turkey and Northern Ireland do know the truth. All information should be passed to them and has been.
O`Kane has run, he has fled Turkey because he now realises that his lies have caught him out in a big way. The man is a fugitive. The title fugitive now sits alongside O`Kane`s other titles of liar and fraudster. If he thinks that he isn`t going to get away with it in Northern Ireland, will he then go on the run from the legal system here? With his track record, he could do anything.
O`Kane why did you run? Why could you not stay and fight your corner? Maybe you finally realised the truth had caught you out. You and the rest of the HEADS have a lot of questions to answer. Let the law sort you and the rest of the HEADS out. You know you`re GUILTY! That`s why you went on the run.

Libby replied and would not email but told me to go to solicitor . When I say it would cost money and I could email she suddenly say her solicitor has got info .
Rab never reply .
I begin to think to many people here are not victims because if I lost this amount of money I would take all help i be given .

Why did he leave turkey because he was going to be set up or guiolty.
