Funeral for motorcycle death man
Posted on Saturday, November 28 @ 09:55:57 CST by editor

A FUNERAL was due to take place in the UK on Friday (Nov 27) of a popular Altinkum man who died following a road accident.

Mr Robert Slack, 61, formerly of Swadlincote, near Burton, died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Fiat Doblo car at the junction opposite Alo 24 Restaurant on Atatürk Boulevard, in Altinkum, on Tuesday November 3.

Mr Slack, better known as Bob, suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Didim State Hospital. He was later transferred to Soke State Hospital where he died shortly after.

Mr Slack’s eldest brother, John, of Hearthcote Road, Swadlincote, told the Burton Mail the accident was ‘tragic’.

A tribute paid on a Turkish website by his friend Phil Johns, described him a ‘lovely chap’. He said: “Rob RIP. He was always ready to lend a hand to his fellow expats.”

Mr Slack’s funeral was due to take place at Bretby Crematorium.
