Two golf courses for Didim, five hotels for Akbük
Posted on Friday, January 12 @ 20:40:51 CST by editor

Ministry of Tourism pressed the button to make Didim the attraction centre.

Two places are designated for golf courses.

Especially with the foreigners purchasing property in the area, Didim has come in the foreground among the holiday resorts in the Aegean Region. Ministry of Culture and Tourism considered the interest of the foreigners in the district and in 2004 announced Didim as Culture and Tourism Reserve Zone. The recent news on the other hand, created further pleasure in the district. According to the statement made by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 36 country properties throughout Turkey will be put to sale and nine of these allotments will be made in Didim.

Two golf courses

In the statement, two places are designated for golf courses and these are identified as the areas of Mercimek and Göllüdam. Mercimek is at Yeşilkent area and Göllüdam is after the industrial estate on the Akbük road.

Large-scale investment is planned for Akbük

Ministry of Culture and Tourism plans a large-scale investment also for the rising star Akbük. The Ministry will allocate land for five hotels, including one with a capacity of 750 beds, and for a 250 bed holiday village.

Dead line for applications is 30th of January

Companies should apply at the Tourism Bureau at Balgat, Ankara for the allocated lands until the 30th of January. The allocation will be made through tendering procedure and the three companies with the top offers will be invited to the auction in February. At the end of the auction, the company that gives the best offer will be allocated the lands.

Most of the allocation will be made for 49 years.
