Another 'victim' of the alleged scam speaks to Voices
Posted on Sunday, June 10 @ 18:03:51 CDT by editor

A RETIRED couple caught in the ‘fake’ villa scam have spoken of how their dreams have ended in tatters over the affait.

Here the couple, wanting to remain anonymous, relate their story in their own words:

“We are also one of the families who met Kevin O'Kane and parted with our hard-earned money. I am now retired and thought if we bought this villa with guaranteed  rental income; it would give me an extra income to live on.

I have to quickly find another job as not only have I no rent but no house.

When we met Kevin he told me he had bought the land and was the developer. He also told us you need to be careful buying out in Turkey and if we bought from him he was here and only a phone call away. We fell like most other innocent victims for his plausable ways.

He never owned this land or built these houses as a matter of fact he never owned a blade of grass here. He has been taking people’s money this past two years and never bought one house in Golden Beach.

Surely if you had someone working for you, you would check where the money was going. He is a businessman and I'm sure he keeps a check on where his money goes at home.

He is the one responsible for this. He took our money and we want it back. He also gave us deeds and then said he did not know they were false.

Has he not purchased a Villa in Turkey? We have now seen real deeds and a blind man would know the difference.Myself and my family's life like all the other victims is in tatters over this.”

Mr O’Kane denies any involvement and through his solicitor says that he is also a victim of the scam.
