Update

A GROUP of about 15 residents turned out today (THURS) at Didim Court to support three British friends who say have been caught up in a ‘living nightmare’.

The three – identified as Carol Steel, and Carol and David Toothill – attended court in support of Carol Steel’s representation.

They say they are ‘victims’ and all linked to allegations hingeing on the signing of senets – essentially IOUs in Turkey – totalling more than 1 million TL.

Due to their financial predicaments, local charity Didim Help-in-Hands this week donated food parcels to the three of them.

Carol Steel’s son, Gary, cut short a trip to Australia to  attend the court hearing this morning and offer his mum support.

Voices will await the full legal case to evolve before reporting further.
