Türkiye’s quietest and most peaceful districts have been identified for those seeking a break from the chaos of crowded cities.
Ranked according to international Cittaslow standards, last year’s top spot fell to sixth place this year, while the new leader surprised everyone.

Located in the heart of the Aegean, Yenipazar offers a quiet, peaceful haven surrounded by nature. For years, Yenipazar has successfully earned the title of “Cittaslow.”
One of the first districts in Türkiye to be included in the “Cittaslow” network, this charming settlement, despite falling to 6th place in the 2025 rankings, still stands out as a capital of peace, simplicity, and local culture.
Despite growing interest, Yenipazar maintains its natural beauty and authenticity, making it an ideal destination for both living and visiting.
Cittaslow’s list of Türkiye’s most peaceful districts features numerous districts in Antalya, Muğla, İzmir, Isparta, and Bolu. But it was Gökçeada that topped the 2025 list.
Despite its small size, Yenipazar, a favorite of Aydın, continues to attract both local and international visitors. Known for its natural architecture, local delicacies, and friendly people, Yenipazar isn’t just a place to live; it’s also the epitome of tranquility.
A life intertwined with nature: Olive trees, fertile agricultural lands, and a quiet neighborhood structure. Local culture: Yoruk traditions, handicrafts, and a unique cuisine (especially pide). Simple living: Peaceful conversations in village coffeehouses, away from large shopping malls. Ease of transportation: Close to Aydın city center, with easy access to larger tourist spots.
