Update

A combination of top quality seawater and beaches are set to be enjoyed by thousands of local and foreign citizens this summer.

In recent day, seawater quality around Didim’s coastline has been revealed by Ministry of Health analyses. According to the latest data, 28 out of 30 swimming areas in the district were categorized as ‘excellent’, while 2 were categorized as ‘good’.

These analyses, carried out under the Regulation on the Management of Swimming  Water Quality are performed by the Aydın Public Health Laboratory.

The results are recorded in the General Directorate of Public Health’s Swimming Water Monitoring System. The latest data from the Ministry shows that the majority of beaches in Didim fall into the highest quality category.

Of the 30 swimming areas in Didim, 10 are Blue Flag beaches, and there are no beaches in the district that are categorized as having poor water quality. Furthermore, 28 beaches were found to be accessible to people with disabilities.

Analyses conducted on May 20 and June 10, 2026, at Akbük Public Beach, one of the district’s most popular beaches with a capacity of 1,500 people, measured the seawater quality as ‘excellent’. This excellence has been consistently achieved since 2021.

At Altınkum Beach, another popular Blue Flag beach in the district, analyses conducted on May 18 and June 3, 2026, also determined the seawater quality to be excellent. Authorities stated that the swimming water quality will continue to be monitored regularly throughout the season.
