Didim expat Maximilian Sam, has won several awards at the Feed My Reads Awards 2022.

The Awards are voted on by the public with over 2,000 votes being placed during the voting window.

Maximilian Sam won the Awards for his book “It’s A Stray Dog’s Life”. The children’s book focuses on the lives of three stray dogs – Princess, Buster and Snowy – as they interact with humans and other animals and follows them through their many adventures.

The stories show how dogs and humans have to learn basic rules of behaviour such as everyone being different, bullying is wrong and being crazy is good up to a point!

At the Awards, Max won Best Children’s Book, Best Book Cover, Best Comedy Book, Best Author Interview and Community Member Of the Year

Max said: “Eight months ago I was wondering if anyone would ever buy the book. Now it’s won awards and the second book has been published this week too.

“There aren’t words to describe how it feels, especially as this was a public vote. It shows how much everyone loved the book and that they were willing to take time out to vote for it.

“I can’t say thank you loudly enough. The support I’ve had has been extraordinary. I am truly grateful. I can promise you the dogs are too!”

Fraser Stootman, founder of Feed My Reads, added, “I set up Feed My Reads a year ago to bring together a community where people could get to know authors through a series of interviews that go much further than just talking about their books.

“There have been nearly 100,000 hits on the website in the first year, which is astonishing when you think it started from scratch. The support from both readers and authors has been amazing.”

Max’s second book “It’s A Stray Dog’s Life 2” is on sale now in paperback with the eBook coming out on 11 November. All links are on his website.
