A TOTAL of 48 foreigners married Turks in 2013 in Didim, the town’s wedding registrar has announced.

Of these 48 weddings, 24 were British women to Turks; with the others being 11 Germans, 3 Azerbaijan, two each from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, and one each from Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Kosovo.

The other two weddings saw a Turkish woman marry a British man, and another wed a Ghanian man.

Overall there 382 weddings in Didim last year.
