A British national holidaying in Didim has been detained on suspicion of selling drugs. 

Local media said that a man, identified only by his initials GWE, came to Didim from England on holiday for a week and was allegedly caught by the police while he was trying to sell marijuana he had with him to someone else on his return from holiday.

As part of their investigations, Didim Anti-Narcotic Crimes Bureau teams seized 6.63 grams of marijuana. 

GWE, who was taken into custody, was later transferred to Didim courthouse after procedures were completed at the police station. The court formally arrested him and he was detained to Söke prison while enquiries continue.
