A BRITISH man – thought to be the first foreign patient of the recently opened dialysis unit at Didim State Hospital – has lavished praise on the facility and its staff.

George Smith, who has lived in Didim for a number of years, said: “I would like to praise the newly opened dialysis unit at Didim hospital,

“I have recently suffered kidney failure, due to another illness, and was informed that I would have to undergo dialysis three times a week.

“I was filled with horror and dreading the ordeal. But not any more. Thanks to the help and kindness from the nurses, the doctor who is always there, plus the light and airy room we are in, that from dreading dialysis, I now enjoy my time there.

“As I read and try to improve my Turkish, and am collected and returned home by car, I cannot praise it high enough.

“I feel that I could not have better treatment in any other hospital, either private or state.”
