Whether you are over here on holiday or a permanent resident, then you will more than likely be spoilt for choice over the next few weeks for entertainment.

This is not an exhaustive round-up, but one that aims to highlight what is available to the masses if you are trying to find something new to do. Alternatively, you can drop into Voices new facebook: ‘Didim: The Vibe’ for all the latest updates.

In and around Altinkum and Didim, on Saturday July 19, all-girl groupMarmalade, will be singing tunes from the 80s to modern day, at Didim Marina’s Blue Point Club.

Meanwhile the Rehab Bar will be hosting a concert by Birsen Tezer on Monday July 21

For those who enjoy ballet, then the Bodrum Ballet Festival is on from July 19-Aug 6:

Mersin State Opera and Ballet presents “Çalıkuşu” (The Wren), inspired by Turkish author Reşat Nuri Güntekin’s novel of the same name, on July 19 as the opening show.

Spanish filmmaker Carlos Saura’s dance company will stage their show “Flamenco Hoy” on July 23.

The other visiting company is the Moscow Classical Ballet, which will stage “The Lady of the Camellias,” a ballet by John Neumeier with music by Frédéric Chopin, on Aug. 5 and 6. For more details: http://www.bodrumballetfestival.gov.tr/programme.html

Meanwhile, the D-Marin Classical Music concert is celebrating its 10th year at Turgutreis.Marina.

The programme includes: Fazıl Say’s latest work opening on July 31; August 1: Doğuş Children Symphony Orchestra; August 2: Vanessa Mae with Bursa District State Symphony Orchestra; August 3: Jose Cura and Fatma Said performing with Moscow Symphony Orchestra

All proceeds from the sale of festival tickets will be donated to Tohum Autism Foundation and Bodrum Health Foundation.

The festival tickets will be available for sale at the D-Marin Turgutreis Ticket Office and Biletix.Ticket prices range between 30TL to 50TL and a combined ticket price is 125TL.
