Night shift for Mayor

Update

DIDIM Mayor Deniz Atabay got an idea of what it’s like to be on the night shift at the height of the tourism season last week.

He stepped out on the Altinkum Promenade and spoke to police officers, shop and bar owners as well as tourists to find out their issues, concerns and improvements for the area.

He took note of concerns about noise pollution from bars, while also understanding the issues faced by bar owners as well.

The mayor walked from Altinkum Main Beach to the Tuntas Hotel beach to get an idea of the scale of the problems and the positives.

He said: “We want to show we are listening to people’s concerns and taking the necessary measures to help improve their stay here. Our goal is to create a nicer Didim.”
