Update

AKUT were called into help police in the recovery of the body of a potential murder victim.

The man, named as Turgut Tatlı, a tax officer from Ankara, was understood to have been reported missing by his family in early June.

Police officers launched an investigation and it soon switched to Konya and finally Didim.

It appears the dead man had been in contact with another, only identified as Abdullah A., and mobile phone records revealed a link with Didim.

Having been detained for questioning, Abdullah A apparently confessed to killing the man with an axe, but the reasons behind the incident are still being established.

However, AKUT was called in to search for the body and they found it after a search of wood land on the outskirts of Akbuk last week.
