Didim on film in 3,2,1

A FILM that features Akbuk and Didim backdrops is being released to the public in October.

The film, called “3,2, 1”  which was filmed in and around Aydin and Muğla provinces will go on general release in theatres on October 17.

The comedy carries an certificate and was adopted for the screen by Kerem Sari.

It recounts the difficulties a young peasant has in putting a movie together with an oddball cast after winning a camera in a raffle.

The film stars Mustafa Kilinç, Evren Maral, Nuri Yiğiıt, Recep Yener and Yakup Yavru.

Tradesmen clash on beach front

A SHOTGUN is understood to have been firced after a clash between two tradesmen close to Altinkum beach front.

Police were called to a restaurant after man, believed to the owner, was apparently suffered shotgun injuries in an attack at 1pm last Monday (Sept 22).

The attacker fired four rounds before fleeing the scene in a car.

The victim suffered injuries to hip, back and shoulder, and was said to be in a stable condition at Didim State Hospital.

Police said the hunt is now on find the attacker.

Didim’s Champions League team

A team of Didim speargun fishermen have come second in a Champions League event on the Greek island of Limnos.

The team of Hüseyin Taşdini, Mert Elibol and Alirıza Kirmen were among 23 teams from across the world vying for the Deep Master championships. They scored 32,515 points to come runners up.

The next event will be held in November in Peru where the team will be aiming for first place.
