WITH a long season that runs till November, Turkey’s charming coastal town Alacati is the perfect getaway for a relaxing holiday this autumn.

Explore Alacati offers no less than 29 hotels in the area providing something for all tastes at this town renowned for its chic ambience in a historical setting.

Guests can relax at spa and wellness facilities nearby, put their feet up at the tranquil beaches peppering the coast, visit cultural sites and enjoy local produce and wines.

Located on the Cesme Peninsula near Izmir, Alacati and its surrounding area is slowly making a name beyond Turkey for its unique charm.

There are options galore to set the scene for a truly memorable holiday both within the pretty town itself and nearby. Alacati’s cobbled streets are a pleasure to explore with trendy cafes and antique shops brimming full with finds.

Last weekend, to celebrate the rich culinary traditions of the Aegean region, the town hosted the International Vanishing Tastes Festival.

Recipes that have been lost or in danger of being lost will be revived via events, discussions with famous authors, competitions, food tastings and workshops held with well-known Turkish and international chefs with many dishes being prepared on the streets of the town.
