TWO men who burgled a foreign family’s Didim summerhouse and fled in their rental car have been caught in dramatic fashion.

Police were alerted to a burglary at 3.30am on Saturday morning (Nov 15) in the Altinkum district of the town.

Local media reports suggest the suspects had entered the house, owned by a foreign family, and following the raid fled the scene in the family’s rental car.

Police officers spotted the car on Inonu Boulevard, but the suspects failed to stop and sped off with police teams in pursuit. Reinforcements were called in and the police brought the chase to an abrupt when the stolen car collided with a police vehicle on Sokak 405.

The suspects were detained, referred to Didim court and sent on remand to Soke Prison pending further inquiries.
