Bread on the rise

The price of a loaf bread will rise to 1TL, the Chamber of Commerce has announced.

Commerce members met a week ago and confirmed that a 250 gr loaf will now cost 1TL from March 1 onwards.

The rise is in line with the rest of the Aydin Province.  

Criminal caught in Didim

A MAN wanted for murder in 2010 has finally been caught – in Didim.

The man had fled the Afyonkarahisar area after the alleged in incident. He was also suspected of 33 other crimes, including extortion and threats.

The man identified only by his initials of N.A., was detained by police in the Monastir area. He was later transferred to court to be dealt with.

Sewer line in Akbuk reaches 70 percent

The sewer line project in Akbuk is now 70 per cent complete, Aydin Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKI) General Directorate has announced.

Despite massive inconvenience to local residents and roads upturned, ASKI said that the 18 km sewer network building was moving along at such a rate that it hoped to have the project finished by June.

It has also laid 200 manholes in the process, while providing  new pumping stations and new drinking water wells.

Didimspor return to winning ways

DIDIMSPOR remain in second place after returning to winning ways at the weekend.

Didim beat Izaks Gaziemir by 1-0 at home to remain in second place.

They remain six points off off first placed Manisa. Didim play Somaspor away on Sunday (Feb 22)
