New resort takes shape

THE first phase of a resort’s construction is beginning to take shape at Bozbuk on the outskirts of Akbuk.

The Kaplankaya Canyon Ranch Hotel & Residential Development Project began last October and is being designed by OAB – Office of Architecture Barcelona.

Once complete, the project will comprise:

A spa hotel with 76 rooms, 3 suites, with a capacity of 150 beds and a construction area of 22.000sqm;

One restaurant of 700sqm;

A total of 66 bungalows of 5 types between 45sqm and 85sqm which will serve with the hotel and have a construction area of 3.400sqm;

Forty rentable villas of 2 types between 175sqm and 185sqm;

A total of 39 luxury villas of 5 types, between 250sqm and 500sqm.

All villas have been designed with their own private open spaces and swimming pools.

The project is located at “Bozbük Kazıklı Koyu”, between Milas and Akbuk, on an area of 200,000sqm.

All the building groups and the units have been designed with the idea of spreading horizontally to the land and the principal of intervening the topography at minimum level.

The hotel will be operated by Canyon Ranch, with wellness activities relating to spas and detoxification.

The first phase of the project is planned to be completed by summer 2016.

It has been rumored that Pegasus airlines owner Ali Koç has already bought 2 villas from the project.
