TRAFFIC wardens are patrolling Didim’s main High Street – Cumhuriyet Caddesi in Yenihisar, it has emerged.

The wardens, operating as part of Aydin Municipality, are doling out tickets to motorists looking to park and pop into the centre.

The new parking charges began from Monday May 25.

The new fee charges are:

First 10 minutes is free; 
First hour, 2TL; 
Every hour after that is 1TL; 
Parking for 12 hours is 5TL; 
24 hours the cost is 7TL
