Update

THE final line-up for Bodrum’s SunSplash Festival, Turkey’s international music festival, has been announced.

From 21 June Aspat Beach, a beautiful, palm tree-fringed bay on the Mediterranean will shimmer and sparkle to the sounds of top international artists over seven days at a festival catering for all.

This year’s artists include Andrew Ashong, hailing from Forest Hill by way of Ghana, playing live with his jazzy ethereal sound; Sadar Bahar, the deepest disco legend from Chicago making his SunSplash debut; Gilles Peterson, Brownswood Recordings label boss and world-renowned DJ legend; and Romare, one of the most exciting electronic music talents to emerge of late.

Other confirmed artists include Earl Gateshead, Lefto, Kyodai, Rainer Trueby, Phil Asher, Daudi Matsiko, Love Vinyl’s Stuart Patterson and Mighty Zaf, and one of Boiler Room’s main musical curators, Thris Tian.

SunSplash will also feature the mighty Shuya Okino (Kyoto Jazz Massive), joining once again from Japan after a two-year absence, Daudi Matsiko playing for the first time and heading up the live stage, plus local DJs Arman Akinci, Evrim and Kiwiboy all joining the line-up – making the setting for a very special week of great music on the Mediterranean coast.

The private Aspat Bay is a glorious back-to-nature location for this boutique festival where artists perform on a beach or acoustic stage depending on their style of music.

The tropical-style beach bar under the palm trees is bound to be popular, the Byzantine bath-house will be turned into a workshop venue while yoga sessions held at sunrise and sunset are free for all festival-goers.

Festival-only passes are a steal at £130 for the full week, great for those who want to arrange their own accommodation and travel.
