TURKISH, GREEK and other European nationalities converged on the Palm Wings Hotel at the weekend for what can arguably be one of the biggest weddings so far this year in Didim.

Sevil Pekmezci,  a popular dentist from Didim, married her love Boulent Chatzi at the hotel in a lively ceremony.

The couple were married in front of about 60 close family and friends in a private area overlooking the Aegean Sea. Sevil entered to the strains of Pretty Woman, while local translator Sami Isik offered a translation for the foreign community.

There was then an all night feast of music, song and food at the hotel’s ballroom. An estimated 350 people attended the evening’s reception.
