A BRITISH tourist who visited the same hotel more than 50 times in over 20 years has been immortalized with his own room door number.

‘Room 401 Charlie’ has been made specially following the death of Charles Courtney who holidayed at the Korumar De Luxe Hotel, in Kusadasi.

Charles had holidayed an incredible 52 times at the hotel since 1990. His wife died in 2009, but he continued to holiday there until May 2014. He died two months later back in Britain.

The legal heir to Charles’ will arrived back at the hotel this year and bequeathed some of the proceeds to the hotel. The hotel then immortalized him with the door room number and name.

A spokesman for the hotel said they had wanted to help immortalize Charles who they said was a friendly and lovable guest.
