THE results of the Best Restaurant in Didim as judged by members of Facebook’s Altinkum Debate Group can finally be revealed by Voices Newspaper.

There was a straight choice between Caspers, Mavi Kitchen, Lush Martino’s and Vista.

The winner was declared as Vista Restaurant, on Ataturk Boulevard, in Altinkum.

All four restaurants were voted tops from a list of 38 food establishments by members of the Altinkum Debate Group.

Judges then visited the four top restaurants and awarded them points on everything from the greeting, ambiance, cleanliness, speed of service, staff menu knowledge, as well as 3 courses, presentation of the food and value for money.

The maximum number of points any restaurant could be given was 375. Vista emerged first with 333 points.

Blake Maynard, founder of the ADG and the Best restaurant poll, commented: “Admittedly, I have never eaten at Vista, but even I was pleasantly shocked at the quality of the food and the venue. I will most certainly be going back.”

Speaking in general on the four ‘top’ restaurants, Mr Maynard said: “The judges were delighted at the overall creativity they showed, trying out new items on the menu and their attention to detail in the very competitive climate they are in.

“There seems to have been a marked improvement in the food and other aspects of the dining experience compared to previous years.

“That’s got to be a good thing for the local and foreign diner in general.”

He added: “I’d like to thank everyone who voted and the judges for taking the time out of their busy schedules to judge the restaurants in an honest and professional way.”
