Update

A kind-hearted Southampton-based pet transportation charity has come to the aid of many animals affected by the recent earthquakes in Turkey.

Helen, from Paws Pet Transport, an animal charity in the UK, started collecting blankets, toys, travel cots, Moses baskets, as well as pet beds, pet bowls and sacks of dry cat and dog food after hearing of the earthquakes in the south-east of the county.

She loaded up the van, and with the aid of driver Adrian, drove to Turkey. She was met by Lyn and Roy, from Didim’s CoDA organization, and staff at the DiHAD office, to help unload the van.

Lyn said that Denise Harris, also from CoDA, had a collection, which allowed her to buy blankets from Amazon and Helen was only too happy to load them onto her van to bring over.

Helen will be in Turkey for the next week where she will pick up an additional ten dogs up and four cats on her travels to take back to the UK.

Paws works along with several animal charities including 4 in Istanbul to help in anyway she can. She transports cats and dogs across the UK, also from Turkey and Europe to relocate them and hopefully find their forever homes in the UK.
