Help in Hands Group Supports Kindergarten’s Efforts

Two prefabricated kindergartens were built in the garden of Yalıköy Primary School, financed by the Pre-Accession Financial Assistance Instrument (IPA) provided by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the European Union (EU) to candidate countries, with support of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. The project was supported by Didim City Council and Didim Help in Hands group.

The units have started to serve pre-school students since the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year.

 

The need for a wireless wifi system and 8 security cameras and recorders for Internet access for the additional prefabricated kindergarten classes serving 4-5 year old pre-school students was met by Didim City Council and Didim Help in Hands group.

Didim City Council President Osman Ayyıldız, City Council Secretary General Şebnem Öz Tezel, board members and Didim Help in Hands group, who visited the school, were informed about the work done and planned to be done by Didim Yalıköy Primary School school administrators.

The visitors were welcomed with flowers by the students, and pictures made with tiny fingers were given as gifts. A cake was cut together and a plaque of appreciation was given to Lynn Cole, the spokesperson of the Help in Hands group, representing the visitors for their support, by Didim District National Education Branch Manager Ümit Kale.
