ELTON John has announced he is to perform in concert at Antalya EXPO.

The British singer will be performing on September 9, 2016, Sabah Newspaper and others have reported.

Sir Elton to head to Turkey next month

The newspaper claims that the multi-millionaire singer penned a letter to the EXPO organisers stating his love for the country and not for the recent July 15 coup overshadow Turkey.

According to a written statement released through EXPO 2016 via the Anadolu Agence, Sir Elton John said he would perform the concert “with great pleasure”.

Ticketing details have yet to be announced.

EXPO will also be featuring Ricky Martin in concert on September 12.
