Photographic exhibition kicks off In Izmir

An exhibition of photographs and belongings of Russian singer, actor and poet Vladimir Vysotsky was opened in Izmir.

Ankara Russian Music Museum curator and journalist Aliona Palazhchenko attended the opening of the exhibition curated by director and photographer Şükrü Özçevik at Sekizde Sahne in the historical Kemeraltı Bazaar.

In the exhibition, 20 photographs of Vysotsky, as well as records, CDs, books, stamps and various commemorative coins were presented to the participants.

Şükrü Özçevik stated that the interest shown in the exhibition made them very happy and that they will bring similar art events together with art lovers from Izmir.

Aliona Palazhchenko stated that they are trying to contribute to the rapprochement of the two peoples by increasing the familiarity of Turkish audiences with Russian culture and art and said,

“Every nation has incredible people who are equally loved and respected even by irreconcilable opponents. One of them is Vysotsky. Just like Barış Manço…”
