As part of Bodrum Municipality’s efforts to combat illegal construction, it was reported that 382 structures have been sealed since the beginning of the year.

In the statement made by the Municipality, in line with the work of the Building Control Directorate, the fight against illegal construction continues in all regions of Bodrum.

The teams, which meticulously implement detection, criminal complaints, sealing procedures, fines and demolition decisions, carry out sealing and demolition procedures after legal processes in places where illegal structures are detected.

With the inspections carried out in January, February and March and the notifications evaluated, the teams sealed 382 structures and decided to demolish 457 structures. 34 buildings were demolished.

Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras stated the municipality continues to fight against illegal construction.
