An innovative tourism project, the Mars Colony Hotel Project, is set to be introduced to an unsuspecting world later this year.

The vision is part of Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel’s aim to attract a diverse range of tourists to the Aegean resort, particularly young generations.

Helping to raise a competitive and inspiring generation within the facility, the Mars-themed project will see a themed children’s museum that supports creative thinking and ignites imagination, experiences, workshops, training where scientists meet with children, innovative competitions, space cuisine, 3D printing technologies, welcome robots, personalized drinks and an accommodation facility with robot kitchens.

There will be 32 capsules within the project that will be implemented on an area of 14,000 square meters.

The first phase will begin in May and put into service on 30 August. The second stage will start in November and be ready for the opening of the 2024 season. Sample accommodation rooms will be prepared in the project area and will be introduced to the residents of Kuşadası.

Explaining that the visitors will be fed with astronaut food in the capsules and that it is aimed to attract 120,000 tourists a day, Mayor Günel said: “Conscious tourists have started to prefer destinations that offer them different experiences instead of sun, sea and sand tourism. This project aims to attract different generations to our region.”
